White Pumpkin

For those of us who really, really like white, here is a fresh idea from BH & G.
The stand I can take or leave, but the design they painted on the pumpkin is nice and something different.
Black or brown fall leaves stamped on a white pumpkin may be pretty too.
Has anyone spray painted a pumpkin?
What colors?

You know, I'm not such a huge fan of the white pumpkins, but prefer the more natural looking things in life. That's why I think a great Thanksgiving centerpiece would be a few small orange pumpkins with stamped, painted or stenciled fall things on them, sitting on a collection of footed cake plates, maybe with a few fall leaves under the pumpkins to make a pretty doily. Ooooooh, the ideas! Becky

I love the white pumpkin...saw one a few years ago in Country Living (I think!) and copied it. Mine was more trial and error. I spray painted 3 pumpkins in an off white...and then of course the cold cracked the paint (I had mine outside). But I came to like the cracked effect and those pumpkins were the talk of the neighbourhood! I love the idea of stamping or stencilled leaves on a white pumpkin..that would look awesome!

I love this idea!

I would totally try this myself, except the white pumpkin I just bought has permanent dirt all over it! That is the next best thing though, right? ;)

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Love all of your posts on decorating... one of my favorite things right now are the white pumpkin.

I spray painted several faux ones with Krylon Vanilla Twist. Turned out a lovely creamy shade. I used a little watered down brown for the creases and rubbed them off slightly for an older aged look. They turned out really sweet!
