Monogrammed Plates

I have always liked monograms.
Remember when men used to have their cuffs monogrammed?
The classy guys had it done tone-on-tone so it wasn't so obvious.
I like the idea of monogrammed sheets that only you see.
Now monogrammed plates!
Okay. a little goes a long way -- maybe just the platter and/or salad plates.
I found these at Pottery Barn.
For those with slip and a spare kiln laying around, this would be so easy to do...
What do you think?

I have the platter and these plates in the dessert size, and I love them! I actually registered them for my wedding last year, and mixed them with all white salad and dinner plates from the same collection. They are fun, while still simple. :)

I'm not sure I'd want monograms on plates but I do like the look. I think about anything being passed on generation to generation and would an ancestor want that? Then again, if it's "every day" dishware, why not?
