Farmers Market

It's Saturday & time for shopping at the Farmers Market.
The flowers and produce are brilliant and beautiful.
Shoppers are excited and have renewed energy because it's Autumn.
There's a trio playing music somewhere in the background.
The smell of fresh produce is intoxicating.
In this crazy economy you can find fair prices here.
It's good to meet those who grew the food that will grace your table.
I just discovered there is a an organic farmers market here. Actually, it's been open for 17 years.
They offer fresh picked, locally grown produce, natural specialty meats, honey, edible flowers, herbs, grains, artisan breads and pies, eggs, fresh brewed "fair trade" coffee and more. YUM.
I know where I'm going next Saturday....
They also offer organic hand-made bar soaps and body care items, hand made cards, wood crafts, and candles.
Yep, it's on the top of my list with a heart next to it.
Anyone else enjoy farmers markets?

The county that we live in, Oakland COunty, MI, has a wonderful farmers market, and more have sprung up in surrounding communities. I love the markets and my husband and I always look for one when we are away for the weekend too. The colors and energy are so wonderful, and you can always get things that aren't available in the stores.

Autumn = farmers markets. We have them here from late spring until the end of October but there is something much more vibrant about the markets in fall. Fabulous photograph...the colours just blend and pop!

LOVE them! I haven't been visiting them as much this summer and I don't know why! I need to get a few in before the season ends.

I love Farmers Markets, but they are almost over, if not already.
