My MIL planted a white hydrangea bush over 50 years ago at Old Sweetwater Cottage and it still provides several huge bouquets of flowers each year.
I picked these green and they dried naturally in the vase over the following week.
This winter as I look at them, it will remind me of summer of 2009.

How lucky your MIL planted WHITE hydrangeas, which are your favorite?
So the flowers will stay green?
Have you made a wreath with these flowers?
I am so glad my MIL planted white hydrangeas.
I love hydrngeas! I only have one that white - it's Pee Gee but it doesn't dry well.

Manuela, thank you for stopping by. The first time I tried to dry these in the traditional method, they did not do well. They just shrunk up and shriveled. This time I kept them in the vase of water and let the water evaporate. Voila! Dried hydrangeas.
Hi Janean,
Thank you so much for coming by my blog today! I appreciate your comments. You're blog is lovely and I just had to leave a comment about these hydrangeas. I love, love, love white hydrangeas. They are my favorite! Mine are all green now, but will try and cut some to dry for the fall.
Thanks again for coming by.
Take care,
Adrienne
