Baskets
It's Sunday! Time to plan next week...like maybe going apple picking?
I saw this basket at Gordman's about five years ago.
It's nearly three feet long and 10" high.
I like the shape and rustic quality.
I like it when it's filled with juicy apples or squashes and tiny pumpkins on a bed of freshly fallen leaves.
Do you have a favorite basket?

Hi Janean,
Thanks for visiting me! Your cottage looks lovely...and I love your basket.

What a beautiful and interesting basket. I don't think I've ever seen one like it. I love baskets with lids and old laundry baskets. I especially like ones that have been repaired. It shows they have been used and were loved enough to fix.
Hi Janean - thanks for dropping by the Pond. I've had a lovely return visit and a good read. I have a favorite basket - it's a market basket from Germany. I used it everyday as I walked for groceries when we lived there, but no one uses baskets here. It's just not practical in a place that requires a car for a trip to the grocery store. These days it sits by my chair and holds whatever current needlework project(s) I've got going.
I used to collect baskets and then moved on to something else in my decorating "change up". I can so see this basket with pumpkins and gourds, some vines or leaves or something with berries - a perfect centre piece!!
