Scents affect our mood. I've noticed when my honey smells a pie baking he gets all "giddy." When I smell expensive perfume, I feel romantic and feminine.
This Thanksgiving will be filled with all kinds of scents. Some of us will have the scent of....
- Turkey and pumpkin pie in the oven
- Fire in the fireplace
- A brand new baby in the house
- Coffee brewing
- Attic boxes (for those who put up their Christmas decorations)
- Woolen sweaters
What scents will be in your home?
The candle in the top photo is "Spiced Chestnut" from Williams Sonoma and the birdcage candle holder is from Mona's. Click on photo to go to their site.

Happy Thanksgiving Janean! I am looking forward to the scent of pine, roasting turkey and cornbread dressing, baking pumpkin cheesecake and candles:>)
Hello Janean... I love all of those scents... I have terrible allergies though and can't have scented candles, perfume, potporri or such (so sad as I love them all)... my favorite has got to be the smell of coffee brewing! Bisous... Julie Marie PS Happy Thanksgiving~
Not sure! Probably apple cinnamon.
Hope you have a wonderfully blessed Thanksgiving!

Ours will be cooking and baking scents....nothing better!!!
When I am not cooking my favorite Fall scent is Pumpkin Spice...
Hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving.♥
Janean, you are right to have us stop and take in these joys,to be aware of what makes a Thanksgiving holiday.
Of course, I will enjoy all of the above..baby's birth is pushed into Dec now..but he'll be with us
But for me it is something that I can only sense with my being not my nose.
my children gathered around a table
all grown up and living lives of their own..happy ..healthy..and loving each other and us..mom and dad
...Maybe the scent of the match as my daughter lights the candles before saying grace.
Blessings to you, and know that I am grateful to know you, if only through this blog
I love the smell of the turkey and dressing baking. Most of all the sound of family laughing and talking. It warms up the house.
Happy Thanksgiving!!
Hi Janean, I used to buy candles that smelled like sugar cookies and my husband would come home and then be disappointed because there were'nt any.:( I keep a candle going almost every day. Love them!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Blessings,
Debra
coffee and hot bread!
Happy Thanksgiving, Janean! Scents are some of the best parts of the holidays. Tomorrow my house will smell like Yankee Candle Autumn Leaves, turkey, sweet potato casserole, fresh baked rolls, cheesecake, and hopefully...snow (because it's finally supposed to snow a little bit!). :)
I'm going to take it slow tomorrow and smell the pumpkin! Have a great Thanksgiving!

Oh my, I have missed a few of your posts. But for the current one. I am getting ready to bake pumpkin pies and that is one of my favorite aromas at Thanksgiving. Have a Happy one.
Janean,
At my daughter's home the scents are cooking/baking for the traditional Thanksgiving dinner, later coffee. Still later, the scent of the ocean! Terry and I are taking a long weekend at Daytona Beach. Hope to get some great photography to use on my blog in the coming weeks.
To you and all your friends/family Happy Thanksgiving!
Lynn
