Foghorn Leghorn Decor

One of my favorite cartoon characters is Foghorn Leghorn. He's a smooth-talkin' Kentucky rooster who never tires of wooing Miss Prissy and smacking around the barnyard dawg. *heart it!*
Rooster and hens remain a favorite in decor. Any rooster-hen fans? "Ah say, uh, speak up thay-er!"  Photos: Rooster plate from Velvet Gourmet; Rooster upholstered chair - Country Living; Rooster Clock @ Rustic Hearts.com; Rooster sign - can't remember site; Rooster Lamp @ Pierre Deux; Rooster plant holder (click on photo to link); Rooster watering can @ Medley Gifts.com. and Foghorn and Miss Prissy!

Good Morning Janean! Oh yes..I have a love of roosters and hens and have them inside and outside of my house. Some are warm and feathered and keep us entertained here on the farm along with keeping us well supplied with eggs. The rest are on plates and lamps and pictures and paintings. Oh yes...and I love Foghorn Leghorn too...he was quite the character wasn't he LOL! Love your post pictures...yep I'd love them all...can't have enough chickens and roosters around here. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Sunday! Take care...Maura

I have a friend who collects roosters and hens. She has them all over her house and it really looks good. I painted one for her one time, but that was a long time ago.

My kitchen is FULL of roosters and hens! Love 'em! :) One of these days I'll take the time to post some pics of a few of my treasures.

I love that lamp. I have a rooster/hen collection, too...and lots of dishes that have roosters on them. I am a sucker...if a dish has a rooster on it I usually will buy it!

My entire kitchen is roosters. I don't have any of the pieces that I admired when I first meet my husbands Nana 40 years ago. A shelf in her kitchen was filled with them. I have no clue where they went. I started collecting about 20 years ago. I've been razzed by my children about the cocks in my kitchen but that hasn't stopped me! They are proudly displayed in every corner and on the walls!

That rooster (chicken?) clock is hilarious! And I just love the combination of red and yellow--so cheerful! Hmmmm...I think I will buy me some yellow flowers today to cheer the house up. It's been pouring all weekend and it's really gloomy. Then again...at least it ain't snow.
I've got some roosters around my kitchen, along with some chickens. What is it about roosters and kitchens, LOL?

Your posts are always fresh and lovely!

Have a blessed week!

My friends has rooster decor in just about every room. I must admit, at first I had horrible visions of roosters everywhere but I amazed at the beautiful and very taseteful things she has found and ways to incorporate all of her roosters. That chair is gorgeous!

Love the green pitcher with the flowers. Don't have that decor, but love to eat chicken. Does that count?

You know I'm the biggest fan, right? Up to 7 roos and 31 hens right now, with a few more on the way this week and lots of new chicks in 10 days! Woo!

I want that clock... In fact, I want all the stuff you posted :-D

Love the plate and the plaque! Mr J is really into roosters. He got a kit to paint a glass rooster. It looked beautiful. He worked on it over a period of days, always cautioning us to not tilt it because the paint would run. When he got it done, he was so excited that he picked it up! Yep, the paint does run. Now it REALLY looks like a rooster... it has poop coming out it's rear end! LOL
