Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

Sing along with me, 'Twinkle, twinkle little star....'  Who doesn't know this song? From the moment we learn it, we hum it to ourselves or sing it to babes the rest of our lives. One of the biggest thrills is standing outside on a clear night looking up at the uncountable number of stars. It reminds me how vast the universe is. In fact, I saw my first shooting star just three years ago! Stars can be fun do decorate with or wear. Who is a star gazer? Photos: Star Bedroom; Silver Star earrings - click on photo for link; Star-inspired chandelier; Star Quilt; Star peg; Star tatted doily; Star Cookie Cutter set; Stars compliments of the Hubble.

I love stars, all kinds in all places. Love the star quilt, but don't think I could have made it.
I have a star on the front of my house. It has been there 3 years and I just noticed the other day it is to small, now I am looking for a larger one. Aren't I observant.

I've always loved stars. I have a huge star in my entry painted red with lime green polka dots! I'm due for a change and I think I might paint it hot pink! I love the light fixture in the 1st picture!

That star quilt - gorgeous!
One of the things I love to do is to go out at night to star gaze. It's so dark out here that the stars really stand out.
We once lived in a valley in Germany where it was so polluted that we rarely saw the stars. Our son had to do a project on stars and one night my husband had to take him out in the car to drive up into the hills so that he could see stars - fatherly love!

Love that bedroom with that chandelier. If that is what it is, I have never seen anything like it. I was standing outside looking at stars last night too. :) You can really see Orion belt right now. Have a good day.

Thanks for your visit to my corner of the world. :) Love that star quilt and the tatted doily -- anything that is or looks to be handmade is wonderful to me. The ivy covered cottage in your Bluebell post was just gorgeous. Love that color blue! Hope you are having a great day! Tammy

ME ~ I am a star gazer! Was just looking last night. When we get to Mammoth Lakes, CA in the summer the stars are awesome. Shooting stars are my favorite and I see many in August on vacation. Can't believe you just saw your first one 3 years ago! Hope you get the chance to see allot more.

I love that bedroom!

This song, I used to sing it to my newborn all the time, and she'd smile! Even now, (she's two) she still smiles and giggles when I sing it to her!

That tated star is beautiful and is a lost art. My husband's aunt tatted a sweater for my firstborn and I treasured it, for it was lovingly made by her own hands.

Stars...one of my favorite things. I have several star earrings. Love the ones you pictured. I really believed growing up, you could wish on the first star and if would come true.
Oh! Pink roses in my wedding. Love the pink open toed shoes in last post.

Ten years of my working life was spend as a preschool teacher and "Twinkle Little Star" was on their top ten favorites list! The fastest way to quiet and calm a room of 3 year olds is to pull out a guitar and begin strumming this song... works every time. Gazing at the night sky full of stars is on my top ten favorites list and calms me as that song calmed the 3 year olds.
