Crown Me!

Most females have dreamed of being a princess or queen. The world watched with rapture as Princess Diana got married to her prince.  Though her story didn't end "happily ever after," we still are fascinated with the Royal Life and crowns. Let's focus on crowns today. Any princesses or queens?
Photos from top: Crown of St. Edward; Crown Dishes; Crown votives I saw at Hobby Lobby; Crown molding; Crown Canopy @ Crayon Castles; Royal Crown Cola and two adorable "royalty."

Just a great collection of 'royal crowns' there.. but you forgot one.. hubs from time to time likes a good sniffer of Royal Crown .. he says it makes him fell like a "King" while partaking.

I was planning on heading over to Hobby Lobby soon, I'll have to peek as some of their new goodies.

with love and hope that you are doing well.

I love the crown moulding! Most people were probably glued to the tube to see the royal wedding as I was. I think royalty is always fascinating, something we only dream of. But... I am a child of the King! So as a child of God, I guess I am royalty! Isn't that wonderful to know?

There's a touch of royalty in all of us if we go back far enough! Love those crown votives - must see if there's a Hobby Lobby anywhere near Everett for next weekend.

Bring on the Crown Molding!
That kitty wearing the "crown" is precious. I think I may have to find one for my cat.. you know that saying if the crown fits....

I love those sweet votive holders (No Hobby Lobbys here, drats foiled again!) and I adore the cat! Too cute.

Yes...love crowns and tiaras. They speak of such a royal position. I love that there are so many roles and positions we took on when we became royalty in God's family.
Not only a fully armored warrior princess, but also a crowned member of the royal kingdom of Heaven. kingdom above all kingdoms and realms. I also love thinking of receiving a crown because of that adoption, yet being thrilled to throw it at the feet of Jesus in an ecstatic joy to be standing before HIM! What a day. Crowns are beautiful! Thanks for such an awe-inspiring post for me on this Sabbath! hugs.

I remember watching Princess Diana get married. We were all heading out for our annual trip to Ohio from Nebraska in our trusty station wagon. My dad had the car all packed and ready to go but my mother and 2 sisters were glued to the t.v. and dad was not happy that we couldn't leave until it was all over.

I have a collection of crowns, 10 to be exact. I have them arranged on the wall above my computer in these boxes. I joke around my family, "Well, I am the Queen, you know!"

Janean,
Made me think of when my Granny used to pin a towel around me and put a construction paper cut out crown on my head and sing the Miss America song, so I could walk through the living room in that old farmhouse, that I loved so much. Thanks for letting me walk down memory lane once again. :)

The votives are just adorable!

I have a small tiara that I wear at school when we play a game - - - just to remind them NOT to argue with the QUEEN about the scoring!

All four of my granddaughters are princesses! LOL

When the oldest was a pre-schooler, she was convinced that she was a real princess. It broke her heart when she was finally told the truth...

The dog and cat photos are about the best example of the basic difference between dogs and cats that I have ever seen.

DOG: "Oh no, you want me to wear this thing? Really? Well, OK, I'll do it because I love you more than life. But I sure hope none of the other dogs in the neighborhood see me."

CAT: "At last! Ahhhh!"
