Plastic or Paper?

This is moving crunch week! Ah, the humble, hard-working moving box. What does one do with them afterward? *Cricket sound* Yeah. Below are some pretty amazing ideas. Oh, by the way, we actually went with all new plastic color-coordinated bins because they're weather-proof, washable, reusable, non-mildew and stack-able inside each other without taking much storage room - important when you're downsizing. Ever make anything functional out of cardboard?

Who knew?? What fun ideas!! Hope your downsizing goes well. We did that last spring and it has been rather liberating. We are so happy we eliminated the excess baggage and are living with our most favorite things.
Blessings to you in your new venture!! Hugs, Sherry

Glad you are making progress. I know this is a very stressful time and moving can be a real task!

Love the cardboard creations. Wow, the chandelier is something.

The moving crunch is a good thing! I have one whole room in the basement full of totes, yikes! Stay cool about it all. Moving can be stressful!

Good luck on your move!!!!! We did the same thing when we downsized, by using the plastic containers. Our garage is organized and I love it!
Don't lift any heavy boxes.... take care!

That is such exciting news! Finally you are moving. I am so glad, and you get to go through a new door.
Those are really creative ways to use cardboard. I hope you don't get to tired.

Good luck with the packing! I have moved so many times that I go onto automatic pilot when the boxes arrive.
I'm not a big fan of cardboard!

I was watching an old episode of "The Closer" yesterday and I SWEAR the door she walked up to looked JUST LIKE your front door!

I thought it WAS your front door!

I know that you are excited to get moved. That is always such a big job. Love your idea about using the plastic boxes instead of cardboard. What a unique wall behind that headboard and those "trees" are absolutely lovely! Have fun packing!

Dear Janean,
God bless you with all the deatails of moving and down sizing.

Cheering you on with plastic tubs!
They make a lot of sense to me. We have moved and moved and moved. The plastic tubs in storage saved the day when there was a water leak and all the goodies in the tubs survived without damage. Fantastic product!!!

God bless,

I adore those cardboard Christmas trees! They're stunning! The chandelier is cute too.

Good luck with packing, moving , and all that is associated with it. I moved 9 times in about 9 years and have vowed never to move again ...

We used the big tupperware totes too...and now our kids have used them and we still use them for storage. We even have them stored for our next move...A bit expensive but so worth it if you move more than once.

I'm so glad that I came across your beautiful and creative blog today! I don't think I've ever made anything out of cardboard, but these some pretty amazing designs. I love the wreath!
Hope your move goes smoothly and blessings to you for the journey ahead!

Those Christmas trees were a good idea. Not sure I'd want a wall of cardboard. :P Besides they make me sneeze!

Oh to downsize...but where do you start....I told the kids if we move again..you either take your stuff or it goes...we are not moving it again...

Wow, somebody was creative. Love those trees and the wreath. I use old file folders for patterns to use when I do homemade cards or children's projects. Also have used cardboard boxes for science projects when we had the kids home.
Enjoy your downsizing. We love, love, love ours.

Best wishes on your move. I think that the totes will be so much better.
When we moved I had the totes labeled and had them all put into one of the bedrooms. I had time to go through them by myself and put out what I wanted and the rest of put away in storage.
Hugs
Don't overdo it!!!
