I See Dots Before My Eyes

Polka dots scream "fun" to me. You can't take them too seriously. Seriously. Even when they try to be formal, they look friendly and casual. Did you know they were named after the Polka dance for no other reason than the popularity of the dance? So today we'll give honor to the overlooked, underused Polka Dot! Is anyone else humming, "She wore an itsy-bitsy, teenie-weenie yellow....?"  Photos: carpet on stairs; darling teapot & cup; Cookies to go with the tea from Kiss My Cookies; Shoes (online); Vintage sunglasses; Shower curtain; Chair at Apartment Therapy; and....yeah, you were all ahead on this one!

I love polka dots!! I've always believed that they are a symbol of happiness. People who were polka dots and those who hum are people I know I will enjoy being around.

Thank you for ending our week on a happy note!!

Hi Janean,
Polka dots are my favorite! Love, love, love them. I remember my very first white with red polka dot dress my mom made for me when I was a little girl...I think I've been hooked to polka dots since then. I agree, they are so much fun. Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful weekend.

Hugs and Smiles,
♥Ana
