I am a sucker for a canopy! It feels *princess-y* to sleep under a billowy canopy. Therefore, it also seems fitting that servants should bring you breakfast canapes to delicately nibble on....and a fabulous silver pot of steaming coffee with fresh cream on a huge bed tray. Of course, if this were to ever happen to me, no one could blast me out of that *four poster heaven!* Here are some canopied beds to "dream" about. I didn't include Tester Beds which I'll post about another time. Anyone have a canopy bed? Photos are wonderful examples of canopy beds in varied styles that you can just sink into. The last photo is the canape you can sink your teeth into!

I wanr them all (canapes included!!). Beautiful pics!!
Canopy beds do make you feel like a princess...I love the first one!
I also like canopies but have never pursued having one, mostly because of having small bedrooms. I think a canopied bed needs space so as not to overwhelm the room.
Hmmmm..I am relaxing under the canopy!!
Mmmmmm..I am enjoying the taste of this canape!!
I love your play on words!
I grew up with a canopy bed..I use to look at the play on light on the the canopy..It was always different, during different times of the day or night. We still have that old bed in storage..it is my daughters. My parents originally bought it at Sears.
Thanks for sharing.

We all are suckers for canopy's...we must all have a little bit of Queen in us! Love them! :D
Janean, we don't have a canopy bed, but I've always been fascinated with them. We have a four poster in one of our guest rooms so I suppose I could transform the room. :-) Thanks for sharing the lovely photos. The canapes look delicious! I think I'll have one for breakfast. ~ Sarah
Janean,
I love canopy beds and have one. The only draw back (especially in a historical home with smaller rooms) is you are limited to what type of light fixture you hang. Canopy or chandelier? Hmmm.
Your Friend,

Janean,
We are down in Fla and I found a way to the internet in our condo. Yippee!!!
When we(my parent's) built our house in 1965, I got a new bedroom outfit from Sears and I picked a white french provencial with a canopy. I have since sold it at a rummage sale, last summer, couldn't bear to part with it till then. I, however, kept one bedside table from the set to keep as a momento.

Well, there may come an evening when I might like to lounge under a white lace canopy and sip champagne while sampling a canapé or three!
great canopies and canapies....lot's of enjoyment in both....have a great day...
I have always loved canopy's. I did have one as a girl. I love the iron bed in the second picture, that would be a awesome bed to sleep on.
I hope you are enjoying May. :)
Janean,
Thank you for stopping by and leaving me a comment on Rusty! I totally love a good pair of shoes. I love all the bed pics. I am actually trying to do my bedroom right now. Thank you for the inspiration. I have a tiny bedroom if I got a canopy bed it would take up the whole room. Although I have always wanted one as long as I can remember.
Have a Great Day!

Good Morning Janean! I love canopy beds...never had one of my own but I did find a sweet one for my oldest daughter at a garage sale years ago. She loved that bed....me too! My favorite from your pictures is #4..I guess I'm more traditional is some ways. If I ever found one at a garage sale or for a great price it's something I'd spend my money on. I'm looking forward to your Tester bed pictures. Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday....Maura:)
Dream dream................they are all so beautiful !! the last one is yammie !!!
Hugs from me my darling Janean ............
I think that would be fun....never slept in one. The canapes look devine but I could have those in a regular bed, as well...lol.
Oh, to have enough bedrooms to put one each of those beautiful canopy beds in. They are all so very pretty.
Yes! Canopies are SOOO romantic. I would get a very sheer one so I could shake it out easily. Only snag would be I am so used to having a ceiling fan blow over my bed most of the year..... Hmmmmm. how to fix that??.... HUGS to you!
These canopy beds are all adorable. I love each of them and was only blessed once to have one of my own. When I moved after my husband passed away I wasn't able to put the canopy together myself so I don't have one now. I had to give up desire for convience.
.......:-) Hugs
Oh my gosh.... I'll take # 3... a little more frilly and food...... I'm hungry right now, so food sounds good!
Hugs,
Ha,ha, the last picture. I love the billowy sheer materials!
I seriously got tired, and a little hungry looking at those awesome photos!! I wish my bed looked like that, beautiful!
Blessings,
Barb
I love mine, it's metal. Love all of them :)
In French canopy means over head covering....canape means couch. LoL
Have a great day! Lovely post.
XOXO

Mmmm canapés in the canopy!! and let the maid clean the crumbs! LOL!
I actually ate some canapes yesterday. That second bed is so beautiful. (well when my husband and I were divorced he had a mirrored canopy bed but we don't want to talk about that)
I always wanted one as a little girl and still do, but Mr. SS just can't see it. I have yards and yards of "scrim" (thin gauzy fabric) left from one of my son's weddings that I have always dreamed of using as a canopy, but after hanging on to it for 10 plus years, don't think it will happen.
Loved dreaming about canopies as I looked at your pictures. Yummmm...canapes too.
Tulle, lace, ribbons... I love it all! Whenever I finish my master bath, the bedroom is getting a feminine makeover. (Don't tell Mr J) There will be some kind of fabric draping the bed!
HELLO Janean~! =0)
Thank you for your wonderful blog<3
I am uberly in love with the second down from the top canopy bed!! Where can I purchase it?!
Thank you!
Warm Regards
