Diet Food Decor....

Kiddos, this winter has been a fattening one for me. *ugh*  So my diet (as in what I'm feeding myself) is weighing on my mind...well, more on my hips and thighs....uh, much more!
I need to get my mind off lasagna, chocolate, cheese sauces and other fantastic, delicious, comfort-producing, fattening-for-me food...at least for a while.
My inspiration? Fresh, low-calorie-good-for-you food.
Here we go....Oh, by the way, is anyone else trying to shed a few "L - Bs?"
Photos from top: Carrot Folk Art by Catherine Holman ( click here  for her fab site); Carrot-Radish-Tomato clay pots; Celery Pottery @ Napa Home; Celery lined rose Centerpiece @ Brides.com; Artichoke centerpiece @ FrontGate; Star FISH; Yogurt covered snacks and sugar-free mints....

Okay, just being real. I "fall off the wagon" sometimes...but is IS carrot cake!!

I have packed it on and it's depressing but today I worked out had a sensible breakfast, just boil some eggs for lunch....so boring! I need to drop it before summer or I will have nothing to wear. Good luck and yes carrot cake is good for you!

Yes, Jeanan, I need to lose about 10 lbs. I have ten weeks till Florida, soooooooooo I need to get with it. Maybe we can keep each other inspired. I eat healthy(most of the time), but I think it is just that 50+ age thing!

Lose weight? Ah, that's what got me blogging in the first place was my need to get healthy and my life back. Carrot cake is awesome, though!

Oooooh! Love the light colors - makes you smile just to look at them!

I bought a piece at the auction on Saturday that would fit right in there, too. It's Italian majolica and it's a 2 sided serving dish of lettuce leaves with a few stalks of asparagus in the center. Very pretty, and very springy. It will be on my etsy shop for sale within the next few days.

It's so easy to fall off the wagon and gain weight in the Winter when you can't get out and do things! But don't diet... just change your habits again! It will get better as Spring comes.

I'm really trying to be more careful about what I eat too. Sigh. Why can't I have a metabolism like I did when I was young?

Well hubby and I started eating healthy Jan. 5th to be exact. I am down 13 pounds and I am starting to feel so much better. We basically gave up sugar and white flour but indulge once in awhile like today is our wedding anniversary so I made a cake with Splenda. Carbs are a huge trigger for me so I really limit them. This is the year for me to shed all my unwanted pounds. You can do it too!

We ate 'weigh' too much in Florida and now must pay the price by walking even more!

Go Gluten Free! You will lose some weight.

Yes, I hear the *screaming* at going Gluten Free. >,-) But it's been said that everyone should try it for a month, and see if they feel better all ways.

Love your Blog! Oh dear this winter I have really packed on a few pounds so today I headed to the YMCA driving the approx 20 miles one way and will do that 3 times a week..depending on the weather. I even went back to Yoga class! Now if I could just leave the Kettle Corn in the cupboard at night maybe I'd be ok.....

Every winter I put on 7 to 10 pounds then in the Spring I start watching what I eat and do more exercise and I loose it by June. (It is a bad habit which starts around Christmas time and then I am not nearly as active when the weather turns bad)......so I am looking forward to Spring and just moving more.......:-) Hugs

Those pots are so cute!
I don't care what diet or lifestyle change or whatever anyone wants to call it, I still have to have my dark chocolate (within reason of course!)

No more dieting for me. I am trying to find a "live it" I can work with.
