Americana Decor

We in the U.S.A. are getting ready to observe Independence Day (July 4). Most of us get into the holiday with fireworks, picnics and of course, our flag. We celebrate *stars and stripes* and the *red, white and blue.* Here are some interpretations of these. Red, white & blue cottage; Red & white kitchen with amber waves; Stripes at a dressing table; Shining blue sea inspiration; Americana bowls (click on photo to link); blue painted paneled bath; Country Living Red dishes; White Stars inspire white starfish decor; Using flag images as curtains; Sparkler snacks...and the real thing (my favorite). Have a safe and fun holiday!

    Lovely post Janean, I really like seeing patriotism at it's best and the red, white and blue just happen to look fantastic together as well! I like the last image the best too... can't go past the real thing.

    you know Janean You have made me think about the patriotic dishes I have collected throught he years and have packed away. What better year when our country is in such turmoil..to get out those dishes and begin again to celebrate our great heritage of individual freedom..what makes our country so great...and maybe I'll just hang out my new Don't tread on me flag

    What a wonderful blog with all the awesome eye candy you always put out for us. I love all the red and whites. Didn't the yellow bell pop out in that one photo? PRETTY! The water looks so inviting. wow...I hope you are doing okay. So much we go through in this life and have to contend with in the journey and yet life continues to march on... but we know God is good. He is beside us in it all.

    We started our marriage with a posting to Philadelphia many years ago, and that was the beginning of my love for classic American decor. It doesn't get much better - the colours, the comfort, everything about it.
