Sorry........

I haven't been visiting anyone's blogs or fast with replying because...last Saturday night my father was hospitalized with congestive heart failure due to pneumonia.  This is critical because he was diagnosed with advanced Pulmonary Fibrosis less than a year ago. With my mom dying just three years ago, I definitely took last week to visit him. He's doing better, but we found out yesterday a dear man we've known for 34 years died.  It was just *one of those weeks.*

As usual, I did my postings a week ahead,  but noticed I lost a couple of followers...sorry, duty called.  Anyway, just thought I'd catch everyone up at once.

I'm hoping to be inspired after all this.  I'll post something tomorrow or the next day.

Love ya'll!

  2. Sorry you had such a rough week. If people stop following after 1 week of no visits, that's pretty sad. You never what is going on in someones life and this is an example.
I always read, don't always comment though!
Glad your Dad has improved, but sorry about the loss of your friend.

  3. Hi Janean,

I'm really sorry to hear about your Dad.

Take all the time you need to do whatever you need to do. Family should always come first. You need to take care of yourself too.

And as for those followers- if the reason they arent following you was because you weren't emailing or visitng and commenting on their blogs then you dont need them.

Life sometimes just happens around us - and people who really care understand that.

Sending hugs from across the pond (it's a really big pond, but that doesnt mean I care any less )

  4. I don't think that you ever have to apologize for not posting. When events like yours happen in life, they are the most important thing. I am hurting for you. I know the heart issues are quite scary, especially when it happens to someone you love so much. When my husband was in the hospital a few weeks ago, the other man in his room was 85 years old and was going through the same thing as your dad. He was a sick man, so I understand your heartache for him. I am also sorry for the news of the death of your family friend. What a difficult time for you and your family.

Whenever you come back is fine with us. It is always a joy to visit your blog. Hope your weekend is better.

  17. Oh Janean,
Your blog posts are beautiful and your words are always so kind. You are a inspiration of all kinds. After loosing my Mom in December, I know how hard this time is and how hard it is to do normal, whatever that is, First and foremost take care of your Dad, but with so much on your plate, blogging can wait. I have been praying for you and will continue to do so, for your family and your Dad.

  21. Oh Janean, I am so sorry to hear about your dad and sorry to hear that you lost your mom. Those are hard days to go through. Praying for you and yours. If you lost some followers because of it, they were not friends anyway. As for not posting... all of us have things from time to time that keep us from it. I have not been good at it here lately as I am trying to help my kiddos get ready to move and that has partially kept me from being motivated. We'll wait for you!

  24. Janean ~ Life isn't about blogging or followers or any of the rest of that stuff. It's about following Him and living our lives one day at a time with the people we love. But, you already know that.

Prayers for you, my friend, and for your father. I understand.

No worries here my bloggy friend. Take care of yourself and your family. Followers who leave quickly are usually just looking for others to follow back or comment fishing for their ad revenue. Don't fret over them.

  36. Janean, no excuses needed. Everyone has a life other than one's blog. I'm doing good to get one post a week up. I try to visit as many blogs as I can during the week, but it's difficult to get all of them and leave comments. I think we all do the best we can. :-)
I hope your dad continues to improve. Take care of yourself! ~ Sarah

  37. Oh Janean I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad. It certainly has been a tough week for you and we all understand what you're going through. That's too bad that you lost some followers and I certainly hope it wasn't because you hadn't commented on their blogs as everyone on here has a life and things happen that can keep us away from our blogs. Thank you for sharing with us what you've been going through and I'm sure each and every one of us wish your Dad the very best. Don't worry about finding time to post..we know you'll do it when you have the time and energy to do so. Take care and best wishes to you and your family. Maura

Your dad will be fine, with so much love and support and prayers coming his way - you'll see.

Be strong for him, for both of you.

But most of all, get off the innernets and be there for him!

  45. Hi Janean, I am sorry that this week has been so difficult. I understand completely. I look after both of my aging parents and since I am an only child, I have all of the responsibility. Your loved loves always come first. Never feel like you need to apologize for caring for them. I am glad to hear that your father is feeling better, but sorry to hear about the loss of a dear friend. Take good care of yourself and know that you have lots of friends who understand will stick around no matter how much time you need to take off.

    God Bless,
    Susan and Bentley

  52. Janean, thanks for leaving a message on my blog. I'm a newbie so it made my day! I am very sorry to hear about your dad...I think it was great you were able to spend time with him. You will never regret it! I had coffee with my mom every morning and those are the times I think about most when I am thinking of her...which is all the time...I'd love to do my plates in pears like the little plates I found...I cannot figure out how to go about doing it...if you know of anything I'm open to suggestions! Take care and may God bless you...Robyn

  53. So nice of you to visit me and leave a comment considering all that's going on in your life. It's hard to visit everyone anyway. I never can do it. Maybe that's why I don't have a lot of followers. But like I told a friend who was grieving over the loss of so called friends, I'd rather have a few true friends than a host of social friends. You can count me as a true blogging friend! You may not hear from me all the time but I'm here any time you need me. Prayers for your dad!

  59. Your dad definitely should come first. My dad lives up in Washington state, and I make sure that I call him a lot. I wished that he lived closer to us.

Sorry that you had such a rough week. People shouldn't leave one's blog because the person hasn't posted. I still follow a friend's blog, even after she went on a 5 month dry spell with no new posts. A true friend wouldn't leave. I don't plan on leaving. I just get busy sometimes, but I try to check my friend's blogs.
