The Apartment in the 1990 movie, Green Card is still one of my favorite images! We recently went to a public garden where they had a small conservatory. I KNOW I could live in a 600 square foot conservatory and be happy (well, it has to have a bathroom and kitchenette, of course). Here are some images that make my heart beat fast. The first one is what I'm talkin' about, baby! Anyone else a big fan of conservatories? Photos from top: The perfect room! Courtesy of PhotoTours - Tom Ploch Productions and http://french-kissed.com.; The Conservatory, Stock image, Green Card movie rooftop scene. Also thank you, Donna at DH Designs for the sweet award.
Thanks for popping by my blog..
ReplyDeleteI love your conservatory piccies, I would like to have a kitchen in one with a huge table.
Warm wishes Emma x
Beautiful photos! I loved conservatories. I'm going to be building one to attach to my dollhouse!
ReplyDeleteStunning!! Fabulous, really!! I could live there too!!
ReplyDeleteYes, a conservatory would fit my tastes perfectly too. I love light and rarely ever close my blinds. Never had light from the top, but would welcome it. Love that first picture as I have seen it before and drooled.
ReplyDeleteSaw green card a long time ago, but didn't remember the rooftop scene. Have to watch it again.
I love conservatories, would love to have one! Beautiful pics too! Cindy
ReplyDeleteGorgeous space for one. I love all the windows and natural lighting.
ReplyDeleteI love the outside-in feel of a conservatory, filled with plants of course! The light is always so amazing and inspiring.
ReplyDelete:)
I too could live in the first photo!
ReplyDeleteI light and airy environments...
They seem so much happier!
Hope a great day!
I love the movie Green Card
ReplyDeletewhat a strange match...but it worked
it is such a romantic movie
Funny you should bring up conservatories..I was JUST asking my husband for one this weekend
I have always thought Green Card was a great example of what I like to come home to...beautiful apartment, outdoor garden AND classical music playing in the back ground! I think I'll turn some on right now! BYE! ♥
ReplyDeleteI especially like the third photo! I could SO curl up in that chair in the winter with a good book or my crocheting in hand! I can feel the warmth on my back from the sun's rays!
ReplyDeleteOh yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!
ReplyDeleteHave you been to The Jewel Box in St Louis? (Forest Park)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous - I love them all! A few months back when I posted on my dream house, a conservatory was on the must haves list. You do share the most beautiful things, Janean!
ReplyDeleteBest,
Stephanie

ReplyDeleteI remember that movie..and I remember that part of the house too...what a wonderful thing that would be to have ...wow! Come say hi :D
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, yes to a conservatory! Of course I'd have to get The Great Dane onside for this as he'd be the builder to my muse.
ReplyDeleteOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO how nice i like it !!
ReplyDeleteEh .....we also live in a appartment...............hahahaahahah!!

Oh, be still my heart! That first room just makes my heart skip a beat and then do a happy dance! Thanks for sharing! B.
ReplyDeleteI know that movie, it's one of my favorites (Gérard Depardieu!) too.

I LURVE that room!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place! I would want to live there too! :-)
ReplyDeleteThat first picture is great! I love the light colors and view! I'm right with you, there.
ReplyDeleteOh, I looove that movie! And yes that first room? If I had that in my house I'd never leave the property and become some kind of weird hermit-lady. :-o
ReplyDeleteYes, Yes, Yes, Yes and Yes...
ReplyDeleteI love conservatories. I'll be satisfied if I can just get a little add-on of a sunporch sunroom quasi-conservatory...ANYTHING!!!! Loved the post. It's so OHHHHHHHHHHHH! Wish I was there, or there, or there. And if I ever had one...I would have lovebirds to live in it... dream on...
Those are beautiful places. I love that movie so much. I know I could live in a smaller place but I would have to have one or two walls of shelving like you see in the little cottage house in The Holiday.
ReplyDeleteIt was Miss White in the conservatory with a candle stick.. oh oh oh.. it was colonel mustard with a wrench. Some day, when I grow up, I too would love to have a conservatory where I could dolt on my violets and other special flowers that I adore.
ReplyDeletewith love,
Olivia
Those are gorgeous garden rooms!
ReplyDeleteOMG I can dig this! I was in one in a castle in Toronto once, didn't want to leave!! I really like the first, I' d be there 24/7! Lori
ReplyDeleteAmazing! I think I could live in one too...would just need a giant storage shed somewhere for all of my "stuff"...hehe! I have always wanted a conservatory and these images make me one even more...sigh...one day! ;)
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a girl we went to visit the family of man who worked with my dad. When we walked in the house there was a conservatory. I'd never seen anything like it and was amazed. It almost seemed like the house was built around it. It was wonderful. So are these photos :-)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Marcia
