More Of Our White Bedroom

I know it's near Thanksgiving, but please indulge me in showing our white bedroom in the next few posts (though we're still doing finishing touches). Click here to see what it began as when we bought the home and scroll down. I'll start with our autumn/Thanksgiving decor for that room. I adore those white pumpkins, so I bought this on which was originally $20, on sale for $7. The $40 wreath was on sale for $12.00. I had extra bittersweet, so no cost. Yay! The vase is one of two I purchased eight years ago and the column is VINTAGE - over 20 years old. The wreath's the only color in our all white bedroom. Next month I plan on setting a small Christmas tree on the column. What about those bargains? P.S. There's a rumor around the cottage that there will be a give-away in December!!!!!!

Okay, did I happen to mention the pumpkin is an impostor, fake, phony, faux  isn't real? It's a FUNkin. The best thing is I can use it over and over...year after year. Double yay!

Even up close, it looks absolutely real! Anyone else have a FUNkin? p.s. I'm linking to Colorado Lady Vintage Thursday

  1. I love the decor. That funkin is so cute. Nobody sells pretend pumpkins in Australia so I;m pretty impressed.

Cant wait to see pictures of the rest.

(Where DID you get the ironwork cross? - I LOVE it!)

  9. I love the idea of a pumpkin that doesn't collapse in on itself if kept indoors!

  10. Janean,

These pumpkins eliminate the fear of rotting when displayed inside. So far I've lost two real pumpkins from my display but all I have to do to replace them is go out back and pick some more. Don't you love when retailers are in such a rush to push onto the next season that THIS seasons decor goes on clearance?

    Your Friend,
    Deborah

  21. Hi Janean,

Love all your white...the cross and the pumpkin display is fabulous.
You must be loving the new look to your bedroom.
I put a pumpkin in under a cloche and it started to ooze something, so I think a funkin would be much better.

    Happy week,
    Hugs
    Carolyn

  26. I LOVE the white pumpkin sitting on top of the beautiful fall arrangement. The new term seems to be that it makes it 'pop'.... well it really does pop.
    Beautiful cross too!

I have a large ceramic pumpkin .....I love being able to use pretty items from year to year.

Looking forward to seeing more of the makeover.

  27. You certainly put a lot of work into your bedroom. I love the all white. That one burst of color is just perfect.

On my silver and white Christmas tree last year, I had just two spots of bright red, a cardinal, and one oldtime Santa. It looked awesome, too.

  28. I'm drawn to white too. I like the varying shades from white to cream to soft beige.

p.s. I'm having a cookbook giveaway at my blog if you're interested!
