To Infinity and Beyond!

When Disney released *Toy Story* the phrase, "To infinity and beyond" became very popular. Every year we bought our grandchildren one of those inflatable pools with all kinds of slides, sprays and contraptions (they were only good for about a season).  Every time my granddaughter got ready to slide down the pool, she'd say, "To infinity and beyond!"  When I was thinking about her, my mind wandered, focused on INFINITY POOLS. Now that's what I'm talking about! Anyone have one or swam in one? Photos are mostly resorts. Our first infinity pool looked much like the last pool photo.

You ALL expected this! LOL.

  2. Just the thought of being in one of those pools now... How lovely that would be. Instead I am looking at the a grey rainy sky out of my window. Not quite the same! Thanks for allowing to escape and dream for a bit.

    Warm wishes

  4. Janean,
Aren't they wonderful. Of course, I would have to have the one with the tennis court in the background :) I have swam in one in Mexico. Have a great day.

  5. Janean,

They all look like wonderful and peaceful places, however I don't like pools or water, I like to look at it but that's about it. Haha on the otherhand I do wash :o) I'm off to my boyfriends now to infinity and beyond!

    All things nice...

  6. Oh to just have a pool, even a tiny one! I can't imagine having a pool as lovely as one of these pictured.

Over the Memorial Day holiday, I found a great rate at a hotel nearby so I'm getting a room over the weekend just to lounge by the pool.

    Pitiful but true.

  8. Back in the day, when my kiddos were little I remember spending many afternoons in the pool we had that was just like yours! :)
(epecially the summer when I was due in August!)
As beautiful as those Infinity pools are, I kind of get this falling off a cliff feeling when I think about being near the edge!
I love that you put in a picture of Buzz Lightyear. I wouldn't have expected any less! Love your blog!
    Blessings!

  10. The pools are so beautiful. The infinity pools almost look like glass. Your grandchild sounds very smart!

  11. No, not fortunate enough to have swam in one, but they sure are beautiful! I was at a yard/basement sale on Friday where they had the cutest little in ground pool in their back yard! It was like a figure 8, with a tiny pool on one end and an equal sized hot tub on the other end - very cool! I just wish they had had a treasure or two for me in their sale, but they didn't - everything was too new!

  14. No pool here - just two very dark ponds. Only a dog-rescue would tempt me in!
I've never seen an infinity pool, aside from in photographs. What a treat to lounge, dip, and gaze at the views.

te he. I haven't been on a summer vakay for years, boo hoo.

  16. Hahahaha, Good one!

Man, those pools are beautiful! I would love to have any kind of pool, honestly!... (Ok, except the Toy Story pool... Not sure I could fit in it comfortably! lol) It's a shame, but I think if we got a pool, it would have to be above ground- too many undergroung gas and electric lines here... Oh, and a septic system. (ew.) ;)

  22. Kids say the cutest things!! I think infinity pools are gorgeous - sometimes it looks like they just drop off into infinity! The last little pool is more my style - I'm afraid I'm just a simple girl!!

  25. My husband has installed a few. We hate them..they are not kid friendly at all!!!!! and I think they are tacky..unless you have the views that the pictures offer!!

I can remember being pregnant and sitting in a plastic pool..here in Tx in the hot month of August. Now I won't go get out in our pool unless someone is around..I am afraid of something happeneing to me..and no one here..life is crazy..lol

Our's is almost clean enough to start swimming..yeah!!
You know the old saying..Husband a painter..house never painted..
Husband a pool installer..pool never ready for us..lol

Have a great day..wished we lived closer..you could come swim with me!!
