Polka dots scream "fun" to me. You can't take them too seriously. Seriously. Even when they try to be formal, they look friendly and casual. Did you know they were named after the Polka dance for no other reason than the popularity of the dance? So today we'll give honor to the overlooked, underused Polka Dot! Is anyone else humming, "She wore an itsy-bitsy, teenie-weenie yellow....?" Guilty as charged...I have a cream 9 foot sofa with chocolate, taupe and beige polka dots.

Polka Dots - who couldn't love them? :) So much fun. In fact, I was just eyeing an adorable yellow polka dot TANKINI on Lands End this morning :D

LOVE the dots...I have a pair of shoes just like that sans the heels (flats for me) and just got a white shirt with black dots today for this summer. GREAT post. love the pics and of course the puppers! too cute. Loved 101 Dalmations with all those spotty dogs (except for Cruela Deville!) scary...
