We just enjoy the memories of how much we enjoyed the item and if we can, we pass it on to someone else to enjoy or as with much of our treasures, we tend to love the life right out of them and they are ready to be retired! They are so often ignored in decor ...I LOVE pears! They are so often ignored in decor in favor of apples and pineapples. And come to think of it, they're often ignored in the kitchen as well! I love a good pear. Sweet and juicy and crisp. My sister has a pear tree in her yard, a very OLD pear tree, and while I don't know the variety I do know that they're at their very peak of flavor after the first frost hits. Talk about yummy!<br /><br />Paring down has been running through my head for quite some time, too. I'm tired of clutter and I'm tired of stuff. Think I'm headed down the same path you are taking.
